THERE HAS BEEN A GOOD DEAL OF BUZZ surrounding the visual effects of Avatar lately. "It looks so real!" I've not seen it, and by the time I do, it will be sitting alongside other films of equal or greater quality of both story and technical achievement. Don't get me wrong - I love seeing excellent visual effects. That is why this week's MOTW is The Third & The Seventh. It is a short film by animator Alex Roman, and it is entirely CG animation.
